Dr. Ali Atabaki
Founder
Dr. Ali Atabaki is board certified in critical care, pulmonary diseases, and internal medicine. Originally from Iran, he grew up in Germany and attended the renowned Hamburg Medical School, where he earned his MD degree. Following his studies, Dr. Atabaki completed his residency and fellowship training at Norwalk Hospital and Yale School of Medicine, respectively.
Together with Dr. Nasseri, Dr. Atabaki co-founded the Compassionate Critical Care Group, which currently manages and staffs the intensive care unit at Northridge Hospital. In his role as President and CEO of the group, Dr. Atabaki also serves as the co-medical director, using his expertise in critical care medicine to oversee patient care and establish evidence-based protocols. Under his and Dr. Nasseri’s leadership, the group helped establishing the first ECMO program in the San Fernando Valley, which has improved the outcomes of many critically ill patients.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Atabaki serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Dignity Health System and Common Spirit Health. He is dedicated to promoting the effective use of technology in healthcare to improve patient outcomes and enhance the delivery of medical services.
Despite his busy professional life, Dr. Atabaki recognizes the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being. He practices meditation daily and enjoys various physical activities, such as working out, jogging, and cycling in the Santa Monica Mountains. His commitment to holistic health and wellness is a testament to his dedication to providing the highest quality of care to his patients.
