Our plan is to establish a 24-hour intensivist program that will be supported by a team of professionals from various disciplines. The team will consist of an intensivist, charge nurse, bedside nurse, pharmacist, dietician, physical therapist, and infection preventionist, all of whom will collaborate to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to our patients. We highly recommend the inclusion of a dedicated palliative care physician on our team to support patients with complex symptom management and end-of-life care needs.
The intensivist will play a vital role in the management of all patients admitted to the ICU. In addition to overseeing the care of critically ill patients, the intensivist will also coordinate care between various specialists involved in the patient's treatment plan.
